My husband said he was about to fire an employee, but then he said she started working better

My husband even commented to me once that he was about to fire one of his new employees at the company, but that after having a very serious conversation with her and explaining how things work there, suddenly she started to work much better and that the idea of firing her ended up being forgotten.
